1. How do I compare the various ways in which your window films protect against heat, glare, fading and ultraviolet light?

All of our Hüper Optik® Window Films reject 99% of the ultraviolet light. Basically, our more reflective films cut back the most heat, however we do have special films that reduce heat and not a substantial amount of the visible light.

2. Can the film be removed later if we decide we don’t want it anymore?

Unlike factory tinted glass, the Hüper Optik® Films we offer are attached to the glass by a powerful} adhesive that enables the film to be removed while not damaging the glass at any time.

3. What is the warranty on the window film?

All of our residential Hüper Optik® window films come with a lifetime warranty against fading, peeling, cracking, demetallization and delamination (excluding Low-E ceramic film). Additionally}, Hüper Optik® offers a 15 year warranty for commercialwindow tinting films.

4. Can the window tinting void my window manufacturer’s warranty?

Unfortunately, some window manufacturers do void the glass warranty when window film is applied. However, there is excellent news. Customers selecting any of our Huper Optik Window Films receive a manufacturer’s warranty that warrants against failure of the glass for seal failure for a period of thirty-six months if covered by the initial seal unit manufacturer. Hüper Optik® Window Films also warrants against thermal shock fracture for a period of sixty months for up to $500.00 per window.

5. What happens if my window manufacturer warranty exceeds the thirty-six months for seal failure?

For an additional fee, we provide the Hüper Optik® warranty that matches the window manufacturer’s warranty to guard against the chance of seal failure that may occur once the thirty-six month period is over.

6. Will the window film be installed on the inside or the outside of the window?

In most cases, the window film is installed on interior side of the window. Interior application helps the film last longer and protects it from the elements. However, the more durable anti-graffiti films are applied to the outside of the windows to safeguard the windows from vandalism, which generally occurs on the outside.

7. Will the film installation be messy? Can the installation involve any odor?

East Coast Window Films prides itself on maintaining a clean work atmosphere and makes every effort to protect furniture and carpets during the window film installation. Our Window Film specialists initially prepare the windows for the film by ensuring the glass surface is cleaned. The entire process is neat and all of the furniture that is moved is returned to its original location once the film is installed. Since no harsh smelling chemicals are used throughout the installation, there is no odor as a result of the film installation.

8. Are there any chemicals used in the installation?

The film is installed with a soapy water solution (Water and baby shampoo}.

9. Will I need to clean my windows before your tint specialists arrive for the film application?

There is nothing you will need to do to clean the windows before the installation. Our window tinting specialists conduct a thorough window cleaning before applying the film to ensure that dirt and other impurities are not trapped between the film and the glass.

10. Will the film application make the room too dark?

Fortunately, we have a wide variety of residential Window Films and commercial Window Film products that vary from a totally clear look to a complete blackout look. 11. Will the film bubble or turn purple like I’ve seen on car windows that are tinted?

The film that is applied to cars and homes are completely different and involve very different methods of application. The window films we offer will not bubble or turn purple. In fact, the Hüper Optik® Window Films we carry come with a lifetime residential warranty against bubbling and discoloration. Additionally, Hüper Optik® offers a fifteen-year warranty for commercial applications against bubbling and discoloration.

12. Do the window films provide any additional privacy?

Depending on whether you are looking for privacy in the day or additional privacy at night, we carry films which will address your privacy concerns.

13. How do I clean the windows once they have been tinted?

First, combine a couple of drops of standard dishwashing liquid with water in a spray bottle. Then spray the window with the solution and wipe it down with a soft paper towel or clean synthetic sponge. After applying the solution to the entire window, gently dry the window with a dry cloth or squeegee.

14. Do I still need window tint if I already have Low-E or a factory tint?

Low-E films block about 44% of the ultraviolet light, whereas Hüper Optik® Window Films block 99%. Generally, any style glass can be improved with our films.

15. Can my skylights be tinted?

Yes, skylights may be tinted as long as they are made glass. Some skylights are made of plexiglass and cannot be tinted.

16. Why is your warranty better than everyone else’s?

Answer: We perform the warranty work for you and we deal with the factory rather than asking you to. Our warranty covers labor and materials if the tint bubbles or falls off the glass for any reason. The warranty does not cover your window tint in the event it gets scratched or tears. However if this were to happen, all of our customers receive a 50% discount on window tint replacement. All Hüper Optik® films come with a lifetime residential warranty and a 15 year commercial warranty.

17. Can Window film help me save money on my electrical bills?

Yes, an application of Hüper Optik® window film significantly reduces the amount of Infrared Radiation (IR) entering through your windows, lowering the amount of heat that enters your home and reducing utility costs. Low E windows block only 44% yards% of UV and Infrared Radiation. Hüper Optik® films block up to 99%
